Loni Anderson, the beloved actress most recognized for portraying Jennifer Marlowe on the CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, has peacefully departed at the age of 79. Her family confirmed the news on August 3, just two days before what would have been her 80th birthday.

Nearly three weeks later, it has been confirmed through official documents obtained by TMZ that Anderson’s health declined due to metastatic uterine leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that originates in the uterus and may affect other vital organs such as the lungs and liver.

There were no additional conditions mentioned, and the documents indicate her remains were cremated and laid to rest in Hollywood on August 7.

Her longtime publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, previously shared that Anderson spent her final days at a hospital in Los Angeles, following an extended period of illness.

The two married in a private ceremony in 1988 and adopted a son, Quinton, before parting ways in 1994.
