Last week, authorities made a grim discovery when a decomposing body that was later identified as a 15-year-old girl was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to 20-year-old singer D4vd.

While the singer had been continuing his world tour despite the grisly finding in a vehicle he owned, it sounds like he has since changed his mind.

What We Know So Far

A decomposing body was found inside a Tesla belonging to musician D4vd at an impound lot in Hollywood.

The car was brought to the impound lot after “someone reported it abandoned” in Hollywood Hills, and police were called after workers “reported a strong odor” coming from the Tesla, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The body was discovered inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk. The remains were not intact and had badly decomposed.

Detectives believe that the body is female. However, the remains were so decomposed that authorities have said it will take some time to properly identify the body.

ABC News reports that the Tesla “is one of several vehicles owned by the musician,” and that many people have access to his vehicles.

Despite the grim discovery, D4vd initially decided to continue his world tour but has announced via a spokesperson that he will fully cooperate with the investigation.

Authorities have identified the body as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.

New Details Emerge

While not much was known about the body found in the car for the first week of the investigation, as authorities struggled to identify the badly decomposed remains, a report from TMZ added some new details on Wednesday.

Authorities had previously indicated that the body found in the car had a tattoo on her right index finger that said “Shhh…”

During a conversation with Rivas’ mother last week, TMZ confirmed that Rivas does indeed have the tattoo on her finger, and the outlet also pointed out that D4vd has a matching tattoo on his right index finger, though Rivas’ was in red ink and D4vd’s appears to be in black ink.

Additionally, Rivas’ mother told TMZ that her daughter had been missing for over a year and that she grew suspicious after the body was found last week, since her daughter’s boyfriend was named David.

D4vd Cancels His Concert

Despite the grim discovery last week, D4vd had originally decided to continue his world tour as authorities investigated the incident.

However, it seems like D4vd has now changed those plans.

The artist was set to perform a concert in Seattle on Wednesday night as part of his “Withered World Tour.”

However, TMZ reports that the show will not happen, after all.

“D4vd’s hitting pause on his world tour after authorities in Los Angeles identified the dead girl found in his Tesla … we’ve learned he’s NOT taking the stage tonight for a scheduled gig in Seattle,” TMZ reported on Wednesday.

“The singer was supposed to perform Wednesday night at the Showbox SoDo, but sources with direct knowledge tell us the concert is canceled,” TMZ continued.

A spokesperson for the artist previously said that D4vd would fully cooperate with the investigation despite being on tour.

After the new details surfaced on Wednesday, a representative for D4vd declined a request for comment from TMZ, telling the outlet that they do not want to interfere with the ongoing police investigation.
