Emerging reports suggest that the accused killer admitted to committing the crime on an online platform before his arrest

Utah man Tyler Robinson, 22, is being held without bail in a Utah jail on multiple charges in connection with Charlie Kirk’s assassination

Alleged assassin Tyler Robinson may have confessed to k:i;l;l:i:n:g right-wing activist Charlie Kirk online before his arrest, according to reports.

An investigation from The Washington Post suggests that the 22-year-old wrote a final message on Discord, an online messaging platform, in a channel with about three dozen members a day after the assassination last Wednesday, according to screenshots sent to the outlet, which could not independently verify the origin of the message.

“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” the chat message allegedly sent by Robinson on Thursday evening reads. “It was me at UVU yesterday.”

He allegedly went on to apologize to the community, while revealing his plans to turn himself in.

“i’m sorry for all of this,” he allegedly added. “Im surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments. thanks for all the good times and laughs, you’ve all been so amazing, thank you all for everything.”

Robinson was apprehended only about two hours after the message was posted. Robinson’s father, a registered Republican and rumored Trump supporter, reportedly worked with authorities to turn his son in.

Discord claims it has found “no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord” after conducting an internal investigation.

Security footage released by authorities shows the suspected shooter at the crime scene

An investigation into Robinson’s political ideologies is still ongoing, though authorities suspect he became more political in recent years.

The engravings inscribed on the bullet casings found on the scene link the shooter to a far-right online community called the Groypers, which is led by white nationalist Nick Fuentes, who has met with President Donald Trump in the past.

The GOP, including President Trump, has widely cast blame on Democrats and the Left for the shooting, claiming that the shooter was radicalized by the Far Left, before the shooter’s identity was even revealed

However, Kirk’s murder has been widely condemned across the aisle as fears surge about rising political violence in the country.
