Elon Musk’s xAI is all set to take on Wikipedia.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that his AI company, xAI is working on developing a new AI-powered knowledge platform called ‘Grokipedia’ a direct rival to Wikipedia.
This move of the company comes after Musk’s criticism of the online encyclopaedia which he described as “hopelessly biased.”
Grokipedia: A new kind of knowledge engine
Elon Musk shared a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) in which he has announced that xAI is creating Grokopedia.
An X user David Sacks shared a post on the platform calling Wikipedia as biased. “Wikipedia is hopelessly biased.
An army of left-wing activists maintain the bios and fight reasonable corrections.
Magnifying the problem, Wikipedia often appears first in Google search results, and now it’s a trusted source for AI model training.
This is a huge problem,” wrote Sacks.Replying to the post, Musk revealed that xAI is building Wikipedia rival.
“We are building Grokipedia @xAI. Will be a massive improvement over Wikipedia.
Frankly, it is a necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe,” wrote Musk.
Musk has also asked for help to Grokipedia. “Join @xAI and help build Grokipedia, an open source knowledge repository that is vastly better than Wikipedia!
This will be available to the public with no limits on use,” added Musk.Grokipedia will be powered by xAI’s chatbot Grok, which is already integrated into X’s premium services.
Elon Musk also claimed that the new platform will give importance to transparency, neutrality, and factual accuracy.
A broader vision for xAI
This announcement made by Musk aligns with his border mission to build AI tools which challenge the conventional narratives and democratize access to information.

💥 “NO CAMERAS. NO PRESS. JUST THREE NAMES THE WORLD THOUGHT THEY KNEW.” 🌪️ When the Category-5 monster Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, help was nowhere in sight. Then — without a single announcement — a private jet touched down at dawn. Inside: Rachel Maddow. Stephen Colbert. Joy Reid. No sponsors. No cameras. No entourage. They brought 5 tons of food, medicine, water filters, and $1.5 million in aid, all paid from their own pockets. Locals said they worked through the night — lifting boxes, feeding children, treating wounds — not a single word about fame or press. And when a volunteer asked why they came, Joy Reid quietly answered: “Because the news doesn’t need to cover this — humanity does.” By morning, they were gone. No selfies. No headlines. Just whispers spreading across the island — “Were those really them?” Nobody knows who leaked the flight manifest. But one thing’s certain: this wasn’t charity. This was rebellion — against the silence of comfort. 🕯🌎 👇 Full uncovered story before it disappears…|KF
