A pregnant woman accused of deliberately murdering her boyfriend in a car crash delivered a bone-chilling 10-word threat before smashing into a tree in Flagler County, Florida.

Daniel Waterman, 22, emerged from a coma to accuse his partner, Leigha Mumby, 24, of causing the deadly crash before he tragically died on Superbowl Weekend.

Mumby was pregnant with the couple’s child at the moment.

When Waterman dramatically regained consciousness, he revealed that Mumby intentionally drove straight into a tree.

Waterman also claimed that Mumby delivered a terrifying declaration moments before she accelerated to 90mph.

He remembered Mumby telling him, “I don’t care what happens. You’ll get what you deserve.”

Mumby then veered off the roadway, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by People.

The accident left Waterman with devastating injuries, including shattered bones, spinal damage, and punctured lungs, his mother told Syracuse.com.

The couple was reportedly caught up in a fiery dispute on the night of the Super Bowl last February, according to court documents.

Waterman’s mother shared with the outlet that her son recalled his girlfriend causing the car to flip into a tree, resulting in serious injuries for both of them.

The soon-to-be dad slipped into a coma but regained consciousness long enough to level these accusations against his partner. As per an affidavit initially obtained by People, Waterman communicated with detectives via a whiteboard in May.

He informed police that their argument ignited after Mumby discovered she was pregnant and became upset over a text message he received from a woman in New York.

Heather Waterman, the mother of the now-deceased victim, revealed that the text was from a friend who was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, who were slated to play against her son’s favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in the Super Bowl.

Court documents suggest that an argument allegedly led Mumby to crash the car into a tree.

The 22-year-old sustained severe injuries but ultimately survived.

She told investigators that she was unsure what caused the accident.

The couple’s unborn child also survived the crash and has since been born.

The expectant dad’s health took a turn for the better, so much so that he was moved from Florida to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for ongoing care in July.

However, he tragically passed away due to pneumonia on Oct 8, as reported by Syracuse.com.

“He never gave up,” Heather Waterman shared with the outlet.

“This whole entire time, he literally never gave up.”

Authorities originally charged the victim’s girlfriend with reckless driving, causing serious bodily injury, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in July.

After the 24-year-old’s death, they added vehicular homicide to her charges. She was booked into the Flagler County Jail.

John Hager, the attorney for the Waterman family, stated, “This was not an accident.

“Evidence showed she didn’t use the brakes – the car was speeding up at the time of impact.”

The Waterman family labeled the crash “an act of violence.”

The deceased’s family is determined to fight for custody of the child.

Heather Waterman intends to prove her late son is the father of the suspect’s child and eventually bring them to New York.

“We’ll do whatever we can do to bring her to us,” she told Syracuse.com.

“He wanted her raised in New York with his family.”
