The final Fast & Furious film is on the way and will include even more familiar faces than fans expected.
Vin Diesel surprised a crowd at FuelFest in Pomona, Calif., on Saturday with a special announcement about the upcoming franchise finale.
In addition to revealing the film’s release date, the actor broke some news about a certain fan-favorite character’s return.
“The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027,’” Diesel began, before the cheering crowd.
“I said, ‘Under three conditions.’”
He then laid out his terms: “First, is to bring the franchise back to L.A.!
The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing,” he shared. ” The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner.”

Diesel is referring to the character previously portrayed by the late Paul Walker, who starred in six franchise installments before he was killed in a car crash in November 2013 at 40.
Though Diesel offered no details on how Brian’s return to the franchise will be achieved, several franchises have controversially turned to CGI technology to resurrect beloved characters after the death of their original actors, including Carrie Fisher’s Leia Organa in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Christopher Reeve’s Superman in The Flash, Ian Holm’s Ash in Alien: Romulus.
Walker’s 2013 accident occurred while the star was still filming Fast and Furious 7, but the filmmakers still took special care to give his character a proper sendoff.
To complete his scenes, production called upon various doubles, CGI, and even had the help of Walker’s brothers to assure a close physical resemblance.

As for the character’s departure, Brian took one final ride with Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, to take down Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) before realizing that his days on the road were over.
The final scene saw Brian and Dom have one final quarter-mile race, before coming to a fork in the road where Brian went one way, and Dom went the other.
Fast & Furious is now racing towards its eleventh film — which is being billed as the final entry in the franchise — following the action packed Fast X, in which Toretto and his crew faced off against Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes, a person from their past seeking revenge.
Director Louis Leterrier has already teased a tearjerker of a finale to Entertainment Weekly, promising, “You’re going to cry. Part 2 is going to be a sad one.”
He added, “In my mind, they’re modern saints. At the end, Dante says, ‘There’s two ways a person becomes a saint: Either they pull off a miracle, or they sacrifice themselves for the greater good.’
So yes, you’re going to cry. There are some tears in your future, let me tell you.”

💥 “NO CAMERAS. NO PRESS. JUST THREE NAMES THE WORLD THOUGHT THEY KNEW.” 🌪️ When the Category-5 monster Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, help was nowhere in sight. Then — without a single announcement — a private jet touched down at dawn. Inside: Rachel Maddow. Stephen Colbert. Joy Reid. No sponsors. No cameras. No entourage. They brought 5 tons of food, medicine, water filters, and $1.5 million in aid, all paid from their own pockets. Locals said they worked through the night — lifting boxes, feeding children, treating wounds — not a single word about fame or press. And when a volunteer asked why they came, Joy Reid quietly answered: “Because the news doesn’t need to cover this — humanity does.” By morning, they were gone. No selfies. No headlines. Just whispers spreading across the island — “Were those really them?” Nobody knows who leaked the flight manifest. But one thing’s certain: this wasn’t charity. This was rebellion — against the silence of comfort. 🕯🌎 👇 Full uncovered story before it disappears…|KF
