Tom Brady delivered a simple message to Logan Paul after the pair met on the flag football field on Saturday.

The two stars engaged in a heated war of words in the weeks building up to the Fanatics Flag Football Classic tournament in Los Angeles.

Brady played quarterback for Founders FFC, and later confirmed unretirement is on the cards, while Paul lined up against him for Wildcats FFC.

The two teams went toe-to-toe in a round-robin elimination game, and it was the latter’s squad that came out on top in a 34-26 win.

Paul, who has been playing his WWE ‘heel’ persona to perfection in recent weeks by flashed plenty of talent on the field.

He showcased his strength and speed on a roster stacked with NFL talent, and caught passes from quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels, alongside the likes of Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr.

Brady’s team, which featured Stefon Diggs, Ashton Jeanty and Rob Gronkowski, struggled to get it going.

Unsurprisingly, Paul quickly sought out his rival after the victory, and the pair exchanged words in the middle of the field.

“You did good,” the greatest quarterback of all-time told his rival, as they shared a hug.

Paul then responded: “No, no, no. I did great… Tom, I did great, say that.

Brady, apparently taken aback, took a beat.

“I agree, you did great. I agree, I’m impressed, I really am,” he said, before turning to walk away.

While Brady was initially reluctant to give Paul his flowers in the heat of battle, he later gushed over the YouTuber-turned-athlete in his post-game press conference.

“I’ll say this, he impressed me out there,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said.

“Some of the coaches that were coaching him said how serious he was taking it and how he just wanted to learn and be a sponge to go out there and do a great job.

“To watch what he and his brother have done… you know, there’s a lot of tit-for-tat stuff but I do have respect for people that are really driven to succeed.

“I’m a firm believer in you don’t wait for things to happen, you make it happen. And if you want positive things to happen in your life, you go for it and you’re fearless and you don’t settle for a backup plan.

“He really displayed that today.”

While Paul got the better of Brady in their flag football clash, both men were eventually humbled.

USA flag football squad tops two teams of NFL stars

At 48-years-old, Brady showed he hasn’t really lost a step on the football field, but even his greatness wasn’t enough to rally his team to glory.

Instead it was Team USA, led by quarterback Darrell ‘Housh’ Doucette, that won the tournament.

The national flag football squad emerged from the round-robin tournament with wins over both the Founders and Wildcats, before they defeated the latter again in the championship game.

Team USA won their three games against the other squads, stacked full of NFL pros, by a combined 106-44 score.

“We were trying to play more NFL football and pass concepts,” Brady admitted afterwards.

“Things happen pretty quick out there, and those guys are super shifty. They did a good job running the ball.

“Just in terms of strategy, we’re probably way behind.”

It was quite the wake-up call for any NFL star who had hoped to slide into the US Olympic team to play flag football at the 2028 Games.

Paul, after his ego was boosted by beating Brady, will no doubt still believe he has a shot.
