The bus was driving on the H-3 Freeway when a coach smelled burning.

The driver soon pulled over near the Tetsuo Harano tunnel, per reports from Hawaii News Now.

The team then evacuated the bus before it became completely engulfed in flames.

The blaze was then reported to local authorities at around 8:30pm.

Video from KITV shows the interior of the school bus consumed by fire.

Smoke is seen billowing out of the windows from the vehicle at the side of the road.

The rear left tire seems to be entirely burnt away in the clip.

Members of the fire department can also be seen working on containing the blaze.

The video also shows the shaken team standing at a safe distance down the road, watching the incident unfolding.

All passengers on the bus were accounted for and escaped uninjured, according to local reports.

But their belongings were apparently not so lucky, with the team and their coaches losing everything kept in the vehicle.

HNN also claimed that the driver had said that the bus had recently undergone work.
