The NFL star “maintains his innocence”, per an email from his lawyers to ESPN.

Within the letter, Pearce’s attornies “urge the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, that it is hardly the full, complete story.”

The NFL “continue to monitor all developments in the matter which remains under review of the personal conduct policy.”

The Falcons, who picked Pearce in the first round of the NFL Draft last year, declined to comment.
