Cam Skattebo is hyped to have John Harbaugh as his coach.
On Saturday, Skattebo took to Instagram to show his support for the Giants hiring Harbaugh, reposting the team’s official welcome announcement for the head coach to his story.
“NEW F—ING ERA,” the running back wrote in the post.
Before getting his season cut short due to a severe ankle injury, Skattebo showed promise as a rookie for the Giants, putting up 410 rushing yards with five touchdowns through eight games.
Now in his second season, the 23-year-old will be playing under Harbaugh.
After days of negotiations, the Giants finalized Harbaugh’s contract on Saturday afternoon, with his deal likely going to be five-years and worth roughly $100 million, The Post’s Paul Schwartz reported.
In his first public comments since inking the deal, Harbaugh expressed his excitement for coaching the Giants, telling ESPN that he “can’t wait” to get started.
“This is the New York Giants,” Harbaugh told ESPN. “I’m proud and honored to the head coach of this historic franchise, and especially excited to work with the Mara and Tisch families.

“But most of all, I can’t wait to get started with the great players on this football team to see what we can accomplish together.”
While speaking to The Athletic’s Ian O’Connor, Harbaugh detailed his plans to aim high next season, showing that he does not plan for a rebuild, despite the Giants finishing with a division-worst 4-13 record on the year.
“I think the Giants roster is strong and it’s our job to make it stronger,” Harbaugh said, according to O’Connor. “We are going to compete for the playoffs and for championships. I expect and want to make the playoffs next year.”

Harbaugh also praised quarterback Jaxson Dart, saying he has spoken to the rookie “two or three times at length.”
“I couldn’t be more impressed with him,” Harbaugh told O’Connor. “Watched him on tape, he had a heckuva rookie season and he’s got the right mindset.
“That is one tough dude.”
