The Indianapolis Colts dropped their 2025 season hype video on Sunday — a slickly produced, high-energy montage meant to fire up the fan base ahead of Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.
As usual, it sparked plenty of conversation online, with fans split on whether the video captured the right tone for a team looking to snap a four-year playoff drought.
Some loved it. The sharp editing, throwback highlights, and nods to both new additions and franchise staples hit the right note for fans ready to embrace a new era.
One fan wrote, “Let’s do it!!! For Jim!! All szn!!!”
Another with a “Fired up! Let’s go !!”
Others, however, were quick to point out that hype videos don’t win football games, and some expressed frustration that Daniel Jones was featured prominently when many still see quarterback as the roster’s biggest question mark.
Excitement Around Young Talent
One element that did get near-universal praise was the inclusion of Colts rookies and recent draft picks.
Defensive end Laiatu Latu, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, and running back DJ Giddens all had their moments in the spotlight, signaling that the franchise is leaning into its youth movement.
Several fans noted how refreshing it was to see those players highlighted alongside established stars like Jonathan Taylor and Quenton Nelson.
“I’m ready for this defense to make some noise. Latu looks like the real deal already,” one fan wrote on X.
Pushback on Quarterback Focus
The biggest critique centered around Jones. While the Colts signed the veteran to stabilize the position, many in the fan base still wanted to see Anthony Richardson included in the video, even if only briefly.
Some argued that Richardson represents the future and that leaving him out entirely felt like a missed opportunity.
“I was about to run through a wall then I remembered Daniel Jones is our starting QB,” one comment read.
Ultimately, the Colts’ social media team succeeded in generating buzz. The hype video drew strong engagement, racked up shares, and got people talking. But the sentiment among fans was clear: the real hype begins when the wins start stacking up.
Hard to argue.
For Shane Steichen and his staff, that means proving on the field that the defensive upgrades and offensive tweaks can finally push this team back into contention. Until then, the videos are just that — hype.
