TRAVIS Kelce has pulled out of the Pro Bowl due to injury.

The veteran tight end, 36, has not played since the Kansas City Chiefs ended its regular season on January 4, with Andy Reid‘s men having missed the playoffs.

No announcement has been made by Kelce or the Chiefs regarding a specific injury.

But on Friday the Buffalo Bills confirmed that Dalton Kincaid had been named to the Pro Bowl squad in Kelce’s place.

The Chiefs star started all 17 of his team’s regular season games this season.

Kelce endured a tough campaign as Kansas City went 6-11.

His 50.1 receiving yards per game was the lowest tally of his career.

Kincaid, meanwhile, led all NFL tight ends with 14.6 yards per catch.

The Bills’ season ended on a heartbreaking 33-30 loss to the Denver Broncos last weekend.

This year’s Pro Bowl is set to take place on February 3 in San Francisco.

Kelce led fan voting for the event for the second consecutive season.

The Pro Bowl will take place on Super Bowl week.

Kelce’s Kansas City contract is set to expire.

Retirement speculation has surrounded the three-time Super Bowl champion.

According to the Mail, however, Kelce has decided to return to Kansas City for one final season.

The experienced star is said to have been impressed by a series of ruthless moves made behind the scenes.

Chiefs bosses have brought back offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

A source told the Daily Mail, “Travis is very excited that Eric Bieniemy is coming back to the Chiefs as offensive coordinator as it will jolt the team’s offense back to their glory days.

“Travis was at his best under Bieniemy’s guidance and that signing has been a huge deal for him, along with wanting to play with Patrick (Mahomes) one more time.”
