A person was seen crawling on his hands in knees across the massive red and white striped at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7
O say did you see?
The game between the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers was an eventful one even before kickoff due to an unusual incident as fans unrolled a 100-ft. American flag during the national anthem.
With the flag pulled across the field, fans spotted a man crawling over the fabric’s red and white stripes before the game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7, as seen in a now-viral video circling social media.
The person, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was captured on camera moving on his hands and knees towards the visiting sideline before climbing off the flag in front of confused players on the Steelers.

It is unclear how the man got stuck on the flag, but the situation sent social media into a tizzy.
“How did this happen?” wrote on user on a clip of the incident shared by Complex. “I’m so confused I need to see More cuz what is happening ????” asked another.

“Did he just spawn in the middle of the flag or?” questioned a user on a video posted by Barstool Sports. “Why is nobody saying that this is AI?” joked another.
The game was significant on Sunday for more ways than one. Flag moment aside, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers faced off against the Jets for the first time since getting cut from the team in February.
The 41-year-old Steelers QB threw four touchdown passes and finished with 244 yards as his new team beat the Jets, 34-32 — leading the signal-caller to send a clear message to his fans and the haters.
“I was happy to beat everybody associated with the Jets,” Rodgers told the media in a post-game presser on Sunday.

“But there were probably people in the organization that didn’t think I could play anymore. So it was nice to remind those people that I still can,” he added, elaborating about the team which cut him loose last year, and its coach Aaron Glenn.
Rodgers also relished the win in hostile territory, he said.
“So it was nice to win, especially hearing some of the catcalls out there and the boo-birds,” the player continued. “I’m not sensitive about that. I expected that. I kinda like that.”
