The family of former Giants cornerback Sam Beal is asking for public help seven months since he went missing.
Beal, taken by the Giants in the supplemental draft in 2018, has not been seen since July 12, 2025, and his sister, Essence Zhane, took to social media Monday trying to find anyone with information about his disappearance.
“Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother. We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we’re in desperate need of support on all ends,” Zhane wrote on Facebook on Monday. “I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure. I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around.”
She ended the message asking anyone with information to reach out to the Kentwood Police Department or the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Zhane also included a picture of Beal’s license photo, the missing persons report and an image of a parking receipt.
Beal went missing last July after dropping off his girlfriend at a family member’s home, according to a missing persons report listed on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System website.
The former NFL player borrowed her car and was supposed to head to work, but instead drove to Virginia Beach and spoke with his girlfriend on the phone the next day, telling her where he was and that he would return home the following day.
“Samuel has not been heard from or seen since the phone call on 07/13/2025. Samuel did not bring anything with him aside from the clothes he was wearing, a pair of slides, and his wallet that contained his banking card and driver’s license,” the online case report stated. “The girlfriend’s vehicle was recovered in Virginia Beach, VA by one of her family members. The vehicle was found with Samuel’s shoes and socks on the floor of the front passenger seat along with some sand on the floor.”

The Kentwood Police Department is listed as the investigating agency by NamUs; it did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Beal played in nine games over the course of his time with the Giants, starting three of his six appearances in 2019 and adding three appearances in 2021.
He was cut during the 2021 season and has not played with any professional football organization since.
Beal had dealt with a shoulder injury in his rookie season and opted out of playing in 2020 due to COVID-19.
In his nine NFL games with the Giants, he had 27 tackles, one for a loss and one pass defended.
Beal had also dealt with an off-the-field issue when he pled guilty to two gun-related charges in Ohio stemming from a June 2020 traffic stop.
