Many Chiefs fans are unhappy at the NFL franchise’s owners after the latest announcement.

Chiefs fans have hit out at Chiefs owner Clark Hunt
It has been announced that the Chiefs will leave Arrowhead Stadium after more than 50 years at the iconic NFL venue.
A $3 billion decision has been reached for the franchise to relocate away from Kansas City, Missouri.
They will make the move to Wyandotte County in Kansas City, Kansas.
This deal includes the construction of a brand new domed stadium around 20 miles away from their current home.
New headquarters and training facilities will also be built in the City of Olathe in Johnson County.
It has been suggested that this will create 20,000 jobs and have $4.4bn in economic impact for Kansas.
But several fans are extremely unhappy with the new plans.
“No loyalty whatsoever to the Jackson County fans that have been fitting the bill and enriching your family for over 50 years,” one fan posted on X.
“Chiefs moving out of Arrowhead is one of the dumbest decisions ever made. You have a historic franchise with a historic stadium… Giving up all of that just to host a Super Bowl a couple of times,” another shared.
The Chiefs’ new deal comes as part of a wave of NFL teams looking to move homes.
In September, the Washington Commanders unveiled plans for a new $3.7 billion stadium to return to the nation’s capital.
Additionally, the Chicago Bears are considering a move to Northwest Indiana as they plan to leave Soldier Field.
Fans have taken particular aim at Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, 60, following the franchise’s announcement.
“I’m a Chiefs fan, but I am not giving my money to greedy, rich billionaires for a dome stadium. I had respect for Clark Hunt until today,” a third fan added.
“It’s a great day to remind everyone who’s solely responsible for the Kansas City Chiefs building a new stadium 20 miles west of Arrowhead: Clark Hunt. That’s it. That’s the list,” a fourth commented.
“Arrowhead made the Chiefs the last 10 years. Terrible decision that gets rid of a great stadium. Tailgating will be far worse and home field advantage will not be the same,” added a fifth.
“You can’t put a bandaid on concrete. Arrowhead wasn’t going to be around forever. This move was inevitable,” countered a sixth.
A capacity of around 65,000 has been slated for the new venue.
This is roughly 10,000 fewer seats than the current Arrowhead Stadium.
The new stadium is set to open ahead of the 2031 NFL season.
