Rob Gronkowski offered his solution to the Patriots

What are they gonna do with the statue?’ Fox NFL Sunday star gasps after claims Tom Brady is ‘going against Patriots

TOM Brady faced off against his former team in Week 1 and his Fox NFL colleagues had plenty to say about it.

The 48-year-old won six of his seven Super Bowls with the New England Patriots before signing off his career with the the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following his retirement in 2022, Brady has become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

This has caused a unique situation where his former teammates have claimed that the legendary quarterback is bidding against his former side.

Speaking on Fox, Brady’s former right-hand man Rob Gronkowski, 36, has addressed the situation.

“What’s crazy is that Tom’s going to be obviously going against the Patriots this game,” Gronkowski said.
“That’s just the nature of Tom. He’s a competitor, but that’s ok because he’d always be cheering the Patriots if he didn’t own part of the Raiders.”Brady invested in the Raiders in 2023 as he expands his sporting portfolio.

In addition to the Raiders, he is a part-owner of the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA and English Championship soccer team, Birmingham City.

He has also turned his hand to broadcasting, with the quarterback joining Fox Sports’ team for the 2025 NFL season.

This comes after the NFL lifted broadcasting restrictions on part-owners being involved in broadcasting.

After two decades with the Patriots, Brady was honored with a statue at the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts.

This has led former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, 39, to pose a difficult question.”What are they going to do with the statue?” Edelman asked.

“Blindfold it,” Gronkowski responded. “Put a blanket over it?

“Maybe back up a semi-truck and kick the statue into it and roll it off for the night and bring it back.”

Edelman and Gronkowski played alongside Brady during the height of the Bill Belichick dynasty.

They won three Super Bowls alongside Brady as they formed a formidable offense.

Gronkowski won a fourth title as he came out of retirement in 2020 to join Brady at the Bucs.

The trio have become synonymous with the Patriots’ modern success.
While Edelman and Gronkowski, predictably, backed the Patriots to beat the Raiders, Brady ultimately had the last laugh.A three-yard run from rookie Ashton Jeanty, 21, handed the Raiders the lead, before two long-range field goals sealed the win.
