Josh Allen has a message for Bills fans.

After the team pulled off a major comeback to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Sept. 7, the quarterback called out fans who left Highmark Stadium before the game was over.

“Our team didn’t quit,” Allen, 29, said on the field after their 41-40 win. “I mean, I think there’s people that left the stadium, that’s okay, we’ll be fine but, have some faith next time.”

Allen told reporters afterwards that the comeback victory for the Bills “took everybody” on the field.

“I’m just proud of our team for staying in it,” the quarterback, who married actress Hailee Steinfeld in May, said. “No one on the sideline blinked. I mean, down 15 points, whatever we were with five, six minutes left.”

Allen mentioned “fans leaving the stadium” again in his postgame interview, and praised his teammates for “staying with it” until the end.

“You got to play this game for 60 minutes. And that’s a really good outfit that we just played, and God willing, we take care of business how we’re supposed to and how we think we will,” said Allen.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott praised his quarterback’s determination after the win.

“Josh, he’s always been like that though,” McDermott said. “He wants the ball in key moments of the game.

That’s what the great ones, that’s their mindset. That’s what they want, that’s what they do, and he’s never out of it in his mind.”

NextGenStats had the Bills’ chance of winning the Week 1 matchup down to 1.1% with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

According to the tracking system, it was the 13th-most improbable comeback by any team over the last decade.

Next, Allen and the Bills will take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 14.
