Keenan Allen said Friday there’s a real chance he’s not back in a Chargers uniform in 2026.

During an interview with The California Post at the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Allen said he’s still not sure what’s in store for him in 2026.

“I don’t know what I’m going to be doing this year,” he said. “Options are still open.”

Allen added retirement is on the table, though he’s “still hoping I can play.”
“Anything is possible,” he said. “But like I said, I’m going to be ready to play.”

Allen, 33, played the first 11 seasons of his career with the Chargers after he was picked by the team in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He spent the 2024 season with the Bears but returned to the Bolts on a one-year deal in 2025.

In 17 games, he racked up 81 catches for 777 yards and four touchdowns — leaving many Chargers supporters hoping for a ’26 return.
But Allen said it won’t exactly be Los Angeles or nowhere next season.

“We’re open to anything,” the six-time Pro Bowl receiver said. “It just has to be the right situation.”
