The 30-year-old Chiefs quarterback has given an insight into his rehab after ACL surgery.

An image of Mahomes wearing a knee brace has been shared by his wife Brittany, 30, on her Instagram Stories.

She shared a picture of the three-time Super Bowl winner standing on a driveway with his children.

He was spotted wearing a matching gray hoodie and shorts.

Crucially, Mahomes appeared with crutches and a brace over his left knee.

It has been a miserable 2025 NFL season for Mahomes and the Chiefs.

They have failed to reach the league’s playoffs for the first time in a decade.

The Chiefs have claimed just six wins from 16 games this year.

This is despite Mahomes leading the franchise to Super Bowl LIX last season.

Mahomes suffered a torn ACL during their Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

He then underwent surgery in Dallas, Texas, as his injury rehabilitation began.

Backup Gardner Minshew, 29, suffered the same injury just a week later against the Tennessee Titans.

An ACL injury such as Mahomes’ usually requires a nine-month recovery period.

This could put Mahomes’ hopes of starting the 2026 NFL season in doubt.

NFL legend Tom Brady, 48, has urged Mahomes to focus on his recovery after suffering a similar injury during his own playing career.

Mahomes was spotted wearing the same black knee brace in a Christmas family photo with Brittany and their children.

Head coach Andy Reid, 67, has announced that Mahomes is back at the Chiefs’ training facility and rehabbing his injury.

The Chiefs will end their 2025 campaign ranked third in the AFC West.

They will play their final game of the season against the bottom-ranked Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
