Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald and his wife, Stephanie, had a touching moment on the field after he coached the team to their second Super Bowl title in 12 years with a 29-13 win over the Patriots Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif.
The couple, who married in 2021, were mic’d up on the field at Levi’s Stadium as they took in the postgame celebrations with their 2-year-old son Jack, as seen in a video shared by the NFL.
“So, how was your day?” Stephanie asked before they shared a laugh.
“I can’t believe it. It so awesome,” Macdonald said.
“It’s surreal, you did it. I’m so proud of you,” Stephanie, who is a former NFL cheerleader, gushed.
“And you know what? We did not care.”
Macdonald agreed.
“Jack, one day you are really gonna like this day,” the coach added.
Stephanie was an NFL cheerleader for eight years with the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Commanders.
The pair met while he was a defensive assistant for the Ravens and she was a cheerleader for the team in 2014.

Macdonald, 38, became the third-youngest head coach to win a Super Bowl on Sunday.
He generally stays out of the spotlight — and was one of the most anonymous coach in the NFL until he joined the list of ones to holdup the Lombardi Trophy.
“We use the term ‘chasing edges’ here in Seattle,” Macdonald said Monday. “You have to live like that, you know, you can’t be copying everybody else. We want to be on the forefront of things. We know that — we know that we’re target No. 1 now.

“But again, it’s really gonna be our mentality for us to keep pushing the envelope with our personnel, where we can take things at our speed, you know? And so, there’s gonna be times where we feel like teams get a beat on us, and we’re gonna have to move and shake, and that’s happened several times throughout this season as well. And that’s just how we operate.”
The Seahawks hired Macdonald in January 2024 to replace long-time coach Pete Carroll.
