Hollywood Brown revealed that he spoke with Rondale Moore hours before his former Cardinals teammate’s death on Saturday in Indiana.

New Albany police chief Todd Bailey said the 25-year-old Moore was discovered with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound in a garage.

Tributes poured in from around the NFL, including from Brown, who posted on social media that he had interacted with Moore earlier in the day.

“Bro ain’t no way brotha you just messaged me [a] few hours ago,’ the current Chiefs receiver wrote. ‘You [weren’t] alone bro.. I told you I know how you feel.”

Brown and Moore were teammates in Arizona during the 2022 and ’23 seasons, but Moore missed the entire year with the Vikings this season with a knee injury suffered in the preseason.

The 28-year-old Brown also shared a screenshot of a text exchange he had with Moore in August following the injury.

“Praying for you brother,” Brown wrote. “Sometimes in life when stuff don’t go as planned, as frustrating as it may be [you] have to always remember God is in control, his plan will always prevail. All we can do is trust him and always remember someone has it worse.

“I’m here if you ever need to talk bro. I know how…it feels it sucks dawg but knowing you, you [are] built for this don’t give up.”

Brown also posted on Instagram a quote that read, “People really believe if you got money you don’t go through anything and have no problems, that s–t be really crazy to me…I shared this to my close friends ’cause I know me and all my bros go through the same stuff, it’s just crazy you people don’t realize this until someone gone.”

Countless others around the NFL also expressed their shock over Moore’s death.

“Can’t even begin to fathom or process this,” JJ Watt, another former Cardinals teammate, posted on X.

“There’s just no way. Way too soon. Way too special. So much left to give. Rest in Peace Rondale.”
