Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones briefly paused his Super Bowl celebration Sunday night to check Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua.

The Seattle star took to his X page after Nacua appeared to throw some shade Sam Darnold’s way during the Seahawks’ big win over the Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and he didn’t hold back on the Rams receiver.

“Ain’t you at home,” Jones wrote to Nacua. “Goofy ass.”

It’s not entirely clear what Nacua meant by his initial post — all it said was “Sam Darnold” with a crying emoji.
But clearly, Jones — who played with Nacua on the Rams during the 2023 season — took it as a diss, as did former NFL player Emmanuel Acho, who also ripped Nacua for the post on Sunday night.

“Puka needs to chill out and give Sam Darnold his RESPECT!” Acho said. “Sam Darnold beat Puka and then won a Super Bowl, what the heck Puka laughing for?!”

Darnold was lights out in the NFC Championship game against the Rams, which helped propel the Seahawks to Super Bowl LX. But during his matchup with the Patriots, he threw for just 202 yards and one touchdown on 19-of-38 passing.

Nacua’s yet to respond to the criticism he’s received for his post, but he was at least later complimentary of Darnold’s teammate Cooper Kupp.

Nacua reshared an image of ex-Rams receiver that showed him as a two-time Super Bowl champion. He also wrote “Cooooooop” in another post.
