In June, a source told PEOPLE exclusively that Swift was “really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season”

Taylor Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium for Travis Kelce’s first Chiefs home game of the season following their engagement news
On Sunday, Sept. 14, the pop star watched as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Philadelphia Eagles in a 2025 Super Bowl rematch. This was the first time Swift, 35, is making an appearance at a Chiefs game since she and Kelce, 35, got engaged in August.
The appearance comes after Kelce and the Chiefs played their regular season opener against the L.A. Chargers on Sept. 5 in São Paulo, where they lost 27-21. Unfortunately for the Kansas City team, the game once again did not go their way, with the Eagles winning 20-17.
It was a tough game for Kelce in particular, whose fumbled catch in the end zone in the fourth quarter ended up in the hands of Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba, and led to Philadelphia’s game-winning touchdown.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday, Aug. 26, in a joint Instagram post. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption. Her 2024 song “So High School” was featured as well, which fans believe is about the tight end.
Swift and Kelce made their first public appearance as an engaged couple at the Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 28. Kelce previously played for the Bearcats University of Cincinnati.
At the time, the source added, “Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she’s not juggling a packed tour schedule.”

“This fall will be completely different,” the source said. “It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.”
The pair are now entering a less chaotic chapter, now that Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour has wrapped.
“The past two seasons were a whirlwind between performing across multiple countries, long flights, and trying to squeeze in alone time together wherever possible. It wasn’t easy but they made it work,” the source continued.
In December 2024, Swift wrapped the final show of her Eras Tour in Vancouver, British Columbia. The historic run, which kicked off in Glendale, Ariz., in March 2023, spanned five continents and grossed over $2 billion in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing tour in history.
Swift is still keeping busy, though. She’ll drop her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3. She announced the album’s release in her first appearance on New Heights, Kelce’s podcast with his brother Jason.
