Kelce has been named as the winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Charity Challenge for the 2025 NFL season.

Veteran Kelce has been honored for his generosity away from the gridiron.

He has won the award following a fan vote after being nominated during the closing stages of the Chiefs’ 2025 campaign.

All 32 nominees for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award were eligible for entry in the Charity Challenge.

His involvement in Operation Breakthrough has been highlighted as a key factor in being honored.

Operation Breakthrough provides educational environments for children in poverty in the Kansas City metro.

Kelce has donated nearly $2 million to the organization throughout his time with the Chiefs.

His $35,000 winning check will be donated to Operation Breakthrough.

This is the third time that Kelce has won the award.

He was first crowned as the Charity Challenge winner in 2020.

Kelce then won it again last season.

He has now been crowned as the first-ever three-time winner of the award in its 11-year history.

It is the fifth time in six years that a Chiefs player has been crowned as the award’s winner.

Former safety Tyrann Mathieu won the award in 2021 with quarterback Patrick Mahomes being crowned a year later.

Kelce struggled for form during the 2025 season as the Chiefs failed to reach the NFL playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.

Despite this, he was controversially named as a Pro Bowler for the 11th consecutive time as he contemplates his retirement.

But Kelce has withdrawn from the Pro Bowl Games after suffering a mystery injury just days before the event.

Kelce is coming to the end of his two-year, $34.25 million contract with the Chiefs.
