NFL LEGEND Tom Brady would have been the perfect person to provide analysis on the 2026 Super Bowl.

The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks are all set for the massive showdown on February 8.

If there was anyone to give expert insight on the Patriots and Super Bowls, it’d be the man who won six of them there.

Brady made his Super Bowl broadcast booth debut last year and did a stellar job alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and NFL legend won’t be in the booth this year due to one important factor.

Why isn’t Tom Brady announcing at the Super Bowl?

Tom Brady won’t be announcing at the 2026 Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California this year for one key reason.

Brady is an employee of Fox Sports and they do not have the rights to the Super Bowl this year.

Each season, the Super Bowl broadcasting rights are rotated between the four big networks, NBC, ABC, Fox and CBS.

This season, NBC holds the rights, which means that iconic play-by-play caller Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth will be in the booth.

Brady won’t be able to call another Super Bowl until 2029 provided he stays on his mega-contract at Fox.

Will Tom Brady attend the 2026 Super Bowl?

Yes, Tom Brady will be at the 2026 Super Bowl, cheering on the Patriots to win a seventh Lombardi Trophy.

The San Francisco 49ers’ stadium in Santa Clara is very near his hometown of San Mateo.

He confirmed on the Fox broadcast of the NFC Championship game that he’ll be in attendance.

Brady said, “I’m going to be there in San Francisco watching in my home town.”

The Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend will be trading in the booth for the raw fan experience on February 8.

Perhaps not the complete raw fan experience as he is most likely going to be in one of the finest seats in the house.

Did Tom Brady play in the 2015 Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl?

The Patriots and the Seahawks have met in the Super Bowl once before in 2015.

And yes, Tom Brady was the man who led New England to the stunning 28-24 win in Glendale, Arizona that day.

That is precisely why Brady would have been the perfect person to have in the booth as a color analyst.

He would have been able to recall the stunning ‘Legion of Boom’ Seahawks secondary he had to outmanoeuvre alongside other things.

Ultimately it was his Patriots defense that came up clutch after Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson on the one-yard line to seal the game.

When is the Super Bowl 2026?

This year’s Super Bowl is scheduled to start at the usual slot of 6:30pm ET on Sunday, February 8.
That means it will be 3:30pm local time in Santa Clara
And this equates to 11:30pm GMT and 12:30am CET on Monday, February 9.
