Will Hardy seemingly reached his limit.
During Sunday’s brutal 131-101 home loss to the Thunder — playing without reigning league MVP Shai-Gilgeous-Alexander, no less — the Jazz coach furiously went off on his team for their subpar play in a video that has since spread like wildfire on social media.
“I’m tired of f–king doing this every game,” Hardy yelled, according to footage captured by Jazz writer Kato Pariña. “F–king play harder!”
The Thunder dominated the Jazz in the paint, outscoring Utah 45-20 in the first quarter and knocking down 21 three-pointers on the night.
Sunday marked the second consecutive lopsided loss for the Jazz after the Knicks blew them out Friday, 146-112.
Currently 8-15, the Jazz are on pace to finish near the bottom of the Western Conference and be out of playoff contention for the third season in a row.
Jazz coach Will Hardy yells to his team during a loss to the Thunder on Dec. 7, 2025.
The franchise is still in various phases of rebuilding after losing the core of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell in the 2022 offseason.
Guard Keyonte George is finding his groove in his third year with the team, averaging 22.2 points per game, while rookie and first-round pick Ace Bailey is showing progress. Utah played this game without leading scorer Lauri Markanen (27.6 points per game) due to an illness, but still it is clear progress needs to be made.
Hardy is in his fourth season with the Jazz and has yet to lead the team to a playoff appearance.
The team has fared better this year compared to last, when Utah stood at 5-18 through Dec. 8, 2024.
The Jazz currently sit in the No. 8 slot in the league’s tanking battle, with a near 35 percent chance to win the No. 1 overall pick in 2026.
