Karoline Leavitt was mocked by South Park in a Season 27 episode – and she’s been changing her look up ever since.
In the show, the White House Press Secretary was portrayed as a nagging assistant to President Donald Trump, pleading with him to address his angry supporters.
The show’s savage roast of her seems to have prompted a style shift, with her trademark cross necklace absent from recent White House events, leaving many people baffled.
However, the 27-year-old mom of one hasn’t gone without it completely as she recently whipped it out for a family occasion.
Here’s a glimpse at Leavitt’s recent style choices in the wake of the controversial South Park clips
South Park trolling

The animated show featured Karoline in a scene with Donald Trump as the President hosted a garden party at the White House.
At one point, Trump stepped inside after enjoying a dip in the pool, only to be approached by the White House Press Secretary, who was wearing a pink blouse and a large cross necklace.
She begged the President to address his angry supporters during the party.
Sporting a bright purple blouse and her signature large silver cross necklace, her character interrupted Trump, saying, “Mr. President, a lot of your supporters are starting to turn against you.”
Leavitt had her phone in hand and urged Trump to address a pressing situation.
“Sir, can you please talk to them? They’re really riled up,” she begged.
Trump eventually agreed and took the phone from Karoline. He answered the call with a dismissive, “Hey, relax, god.”

Just days after the episode aired, Karoline was spotted at a White House press briefing on August 12 wearing a professional black collared dress adorned with rhinestones and three sparkling buttons.
The high neckline left no room for her trademark cross necklace, which was notably absent.
Some critics raised questions about her look as she took to the podium for the press conference.
One critic on X wrote, “Has she worn a cross since lying about the Epstein memo?
strange deliberate behavior at this point right?”
More pared-back looks without the necklace

On Thursday, August 14, Karoline was again spotted entering the West Wing of the White House, this time wearing a blue denim-colored knee-length dress with a sparkling collar and small pearl earrings.
Once again, she was seen without her usual silver cross necklace.
Observers noted this stripped-back approach contrasted with the bold accessory worn by her South Park character.
Necklace returns for family celebration

Despite her more subtle professional looks, she brought back her iconic cross necklace for a personal event.
On Saturday night, she posted an Instagram photo celebrating her sister-in-law’s birthday.
Dressed in a green floral summer dress paired with oversized sunglasses and dark blue heels, Karoline accessorized with her classic silver cross necklace and a dainty silver bracelet.
Captioning the post, she wrote, “Happy birthday to my beautiful sister in law @kara.leavitt11.
You are the best sister, wife, mom, auntie to Niko and friend. Love you so much!”
