Tom Cruise delighted fans again this week with an exclusive peek behind the scenes of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
Posting to Instagram, the 63-year-old Hollywood superstar unveiled footage of himself suiting up in a wetsuit and plunging into a deep-water tank – training that involved enduring extreme oxygen deprivation.
“I trained for over a year to be able to physically handle the amount of oxygen deprivation,” Cruise explains in the clip’s voiceover.
Director Christopher McQuarrie also appears in the video, saying, “I’m always surprised by what it is we’re doing.
That’s the amazing thing about this franchise — it’s all about constantly pushing the envelope as far as we can.”
In his caption, Cruise extended heartfelt thanks to his team, saying,“Thank you McQ and our entire cast and crew for this experience of a lifetime.
I hope everyone enjoys all of the extras and that it gives some greater insight into what it takes to make a Mission: Impossible film.”

In addition to London, the band is set to play Edinburgh, Dublin, and venues across North America, Asia, Australia, and South America.
Spotted enjoying the band’s reunion concert, Cruise posed for a picture alongside DJ Goldie
He was also said to have been at the event with longtime collaborator and romance‑rumour partner Ana de Armas.
Other stars included Dua Lipa and fiancé Callum Turner were snapped singing “Don’t Look Back in Anger” with Noel’s daughter, Anaïs Gallagher, while Fearne Cotton called the night “magic,” praising Liam’s brash stage presence and Noel’s “gorgeous atmosphere.”
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was released in cinemas in May and was also released on digital download on Tuesday.
It comes as Cruise gives his final portrayal of Ethan Hunt, alongside an ensemble cast including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, and Angela Bassett.
While fans online suggested the star could be back for another film, Tom has debunked the rumors as he spoke out at Cannes Film Festival, saying, “It’s the final,” and added, “It’s not called final for nothing.”

💥 “NO CAMERAS. NO PRESS. JUST THREE NAMES THE WORLD THOUGHT THEY KNEW.” 🌪️ When the Category-5 monster Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, help was nowhere in sight. Then — without a single announcement — a private jet touched down at dawn. Inside: Rachel Maddow. Stephen Colbert. Joy Reid. No sponsors. No cameras. No entourage. They brought 5 tons of food, medicine, water filters, and $1.5 million in aid, all paid from their own pockets. Locals said they worked through the night — lifting boxes, feeding children, treating wounds — not a single word about fame or press. And when a volunteer asked why they came, Joy Reid quietly answered: “Because the news doesn’t need to cover this — humanity does.” By morning, they were gone. No selfies. No headlines. Just whispers spreading across the island — “Were those really them?” Nobody knows who leaked the flight manifest. But one thing’s certain: this wasn’t charity. This was rebellion — against the silence of comfort. 🕯🌎 👇 Full uncovered story before it disappears…|KF
