Travis Kelce’s Dubious Love Advice Turns Heads After Taylor Swift Escalation


Earlier this week, fans of the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance got hit with a bit of a bombshell report.

According to Cleveland Scene magazine, the high-profile couple appeared to be escalating the seriousness of their relationship as they were spotted house-hunting together in the suburbs of the Ohio city.

Kelce grew up just outside of Cleveland in a smaller, middle-class city known as Cleveland Heights.

The pair who are reportedly worth a combined $1.7 billion — $1.6 of that belonging to Swift — have made no public comment about the reason for their look at what Cleveland Scene described as “at least two opulent homes currently for sale in Northeast Ohio’s tony eastside suburbs.”

Escalation in Relationship Brings Increased Scrutiny

Was it a precursor to marriage? Or are the simply planning to move in together?

Or were they merely looking to add to Swift’s already-vast residential real-estate empire, reportedly valued at $80 million.

In the absence of any explanation, it was widely assumed that the trip represented a significant uptick in the seriousness of their now two-year-old relationship.

But as so often happens in the world of celebrity romance, every escalation brings with it heightened scrutiny, as fans and the media dig into the high-profile lovebirds’ respective pasts.

What happened this time is that a nine-year-old interview with Kelce resurfaced online, from the Bravo show Watch What Happens Live.

Kelce Grilled by Real Housewives Star

In the interview, Kelce is grilled by a cast member from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City, Ramona Singer, who coaxed the then-27-year-old Kelce into offering some of his most intimate and off-color “dating dealbreakers.”

Kelce is obviously now nearly a decade older and more mature. But in 2016, Kelce actually starred in a reality dating show titled Catching Kelce, in which — according to an account in Vanity Fair magazine — 50 women — one from each state — …compete for the footballer’s affections.”

The future Hall of Fame tight end now says he wishes that people would simply “forget about” the show, according to Vanity Fair.

Nonetheless, the interview raises at least some questions about how he approached his relationship with global pop icon Swift.

Singer asked Kelce, in her very first question, whether he would consider it a “dealbreaker” if a woman refused to sleep with him after three dates.

“The third date,” Kelce replied. “I feel like that’s the breaker right there. Three dates, that’s like the one.”

After Singer admonished him, saying, “What did your mother teach you?” Kelce backtracked somewhat.

“I mean, I don’t want to say a deal breaker, but it would put some questions in there,” he clarified.

He also answered Singer’s question about whether it would be a “dealbreaker” if a woman Kelce dates has had breast implants.

To that one, Kelce answered in the negative, saying that if a woman is “confident” and “comfortable” with her decision, he is “all for it.”

Kelce also agreed that it would “definitely” be a dealbreaker if his date was “obsessed with taking selfies,” but in the raunchiest and most NSFW question, Singer asked Kelce if he would consider it a dealbreaker if a woman he was dating showed no interest in performing oral sex acts.
“Sounds like a deal breaker to me,” Kelce replied
