Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert all made the cut instead
Joe Montana sparks uproar with his franchise starting quarterback picks on Pat McAfee – leaving out Mahomes and Hurts
JOE MONTANA sparked shock and backlash on the Pat McAfee show by dropping Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes from his fantasy franchise QBs.
The 69-year-old icon was asked to pick three current names to kick-off his dream team.

And he stunned the hosts, the viewers and social media with his surprise trio.
The four-time Super Bowl winner opted for Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert, instead of the Philly Eagles ace and the Chiefs’ icon.
Cool Joe said: “I am going to have the guy from Buffalo, Josh.
“Obviously Joe Burrow is another guy I like a lot.
“And – believe it or not – I like the guy with the chargers, even though they have kind of gone by the wayside there.“I just like the way those three guys are.”
When McAfee seemed stunned by the omissions, Montana did his best to backtrack – a little.
“I do also like the guy with Philly though,” he said about Hurts.
And when asked why 29-year-old Mahomes was such a glaring absence, he said: “ I think I would have had him , if he were younger.
“But I should add that they are not getting hit as much these, so he can probably play forever.
“So I should have probably added Patrick in there.
“But I went for youth.”
Pat McAfee’s return date after mystery absence revealed after going missing from WWE shows for months
McAfee handled the revelations particularly well for a man who had missed a few shows recently.Netflix revealed online that the former punter will star in an upcoming film, The Mosquito Bowl.
He is set to play the role of a US Marine Drill Instructor.
There has been no confirmation that this is the reason he took a break from his show.
McAfee ended up missing three weeks of The Pat McAfee Show but has recently returned.
Numerous personalities filled in for the 38-year-old during his time away.
This included NFL insider Ian Rapoport, analyst Peter Schrager and Kirk Herbstreit.
His usual co-host, AJ Hawk, also continued to feature.
McAfee finally returned on August 27, just ahead of the start of the college football season.
McAfee also took a step back from his WWE commentary duties and revealed why on his show.
“[I’m] continuing to catch up to life as a whole,” he confirmed. “Post-Money in the Bank, pre-Night of Champions feels like a good time.
“I was getting pretty exhausted there. Shoutout to everybody in WWE looking out for me, too. Very, very thankful,”
The Netflix film will star Nicholas Galitzine and Bill Skarsgård, alongside Ray Nicholson and Tom Francis.
The production, directed by, written by, and produced by Peter Berg, is currently filming in Queensland, Australia.
