AN NFL player arrested for the second time in a matter of months and detained by cops.
The Houston Texans star was booked into Montgomery County Jail on Thursday evening.

Jimmie Ward was arrested for the second time in months

Ward is currently on Houston’s physically unable to perform list
He will be released by court order on Friday.
Jimmie Ward, 34, was first arrested on June 12 at his home in Magnolia, Texas.
A woman claimed Ward assaulted, strangled and threatened her.
The Houston Texans safety was booked on a felony charge of assaulting a family/house member.
An emergency protective order was filed at the woman’s request.
Ward posted $30k bond and was released.
His lawyer Steve Jackson said that Ward would be “vindicated” when the case went to a grand jury on August 31.
This week, Ward was arrested again.
His lawyer said the arrest was because he tested positive for alcohol, which was in violation of his previous release.
The legal representative added that Ward was unaware he could not drink alcohol.

The 34-year-old safety spent the night in jail as a result of the arrest.Ward was a first round NFL Draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2014.
He joined the Texans in 2023 on a two-year deal worth $13 million.
Last year, Ward added another year onto his contract to take him through the 2025 season.
The extension was worth $10.5 million.
Ward was placed on the physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp with a foot injury.
He hasn’t been activated as of yet.
The NFL was aware of Ward’s arrest in June and is in contact with the Texans.
Texans general manager Nick Caserio was asked about it on the first day of training camp.
He said, “We will work with the league. We will be compliant on our end, do the best we can.
“Whatever the outcome is, we’ll handle it accordingly.”
