Deion Sanders has had enough when it comes to injuries.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach is dealing with a number of key injuries to his offensive line that are derailing his ability to create rhythm within the team.

Shannon Sharpe slams Deion Sanders for his brutal punishment in Colorado practice
The Buffaloes squad that Sanders is currently coaching is vastly different to the one from last year. After several NFL departures, including his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, the latter of whom faces being cut by Tampa Bay, the 58-year-old cannot afford injuries to the key players he has left.
“We got a lot of injuries on the offensive line,” Sanders, who recently overcame a several medical issue, told his staff and players according to Well Off Media.
Sanders is also dealing with the fact that star running-back Dallan will be out for the Buffalos’ opening game against Georgia Tech.
The 22-year-old is dealing with a hand injury and will miss at least a couple of weeks.
Sanders says there will be consequences for QB hits in Buffs practice
Sanders also warned of “repercussions” if his quarterbacks are hit by their own teammates in practise.
An example of such repercussions include running up and down the stadium.
Considering the injuries the team has, Sanders’ position is unsurprising.
NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, who recently expressed concern for Bengals QB Joe Burrow, isn’t convinced it’s the right approach.”Yeah I don’t know if this style of punishment would work,” Sharpe said on his podcast Nightcap.

“You can’t really coach a kid now, you coach him hard and he’ll jump into the transfer portal.
“You tick him off or he didn’t get as many reps as though or targets as he thought or plays as he thought, he’ll jump in the portal.
“And that’s just the era we’re living in, Coach Prime is just trying to get his point across as the last thing you want is to have your players hurt one another.”
Quarterback battle heats up in Colorado
Another reason Sanders will want to avoid any injury issues to his quarterbacks, will be to allow the competition between freshman Julian Lewis and Kaidon Salter to flourish.
Lewis was a five-star prospect and is highly rated, drawing praise for his arm talent and composure while Salter has proven to be productive.
The pair have both taken first-team reps.
And with Shedeur now with the Cleveland Browns, where he has his own quarterback battle, both players need to prove they can replace the production levels the NFL rookie brought last year.
Sanders threw for over 4,100 years and had 37 touchdowns in 2024.
It won’t be long till we can see Colorado action as they take on Georgia Tech on August 29.
