The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears for their preseason finale on Friday, August 22. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed his starters will start, including tight end Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs-Bears matchup marks Kansas City’s only preseason game at Arrowhead Stadium, and fans will keep an eye out for Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, as the pop star only attended home games last season.
Swift did not attend the first two preseason games; however, Kelce didn’t play in either of those exhibition matchups.
With the “Eras Tour” behind her, Swift is expected to be at “as many of his games as possible,” a source told People in June.
“Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she’s not juggling a packed tour schedule.
“This fall will be completely different. It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.”
The 35-year-old singer remains incredibly busy. During the 14-time Grammy winner’s appearance on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast last week, Swift announced her next album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” will be released on October 3.
Swift Plans To Attend The Chiefs’ Week 1 Matchup Against The Chargers in Brazil
Before dropping her highly anticipated twelfth studio album, Swift will make her way to Brazil for the Chiefs’ 2025 season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5, according to a new report.
BCharts posted on Friday, “The Showgirl will accompany her boyfriend Travis Kelce to the NFL game in São Paulo on September 5. According to LéoDiasTV, she is coming as a guest of a luxury box at the Neo Química Arena, in Itaquera.
On the occasion, Karol G will perform the halftime show, and Ana Castela will sing the Brazilian national anthem.”
The Chiefs-Chargers showdown, taking place at the Arena Corinthians, is a standalone primetime matchup that will air on YouTube.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Issued a Formal Apology After Describing Playing In Brazil As ‘Miserable’

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at Allegiant Stadium on October 27, 2024.
While an AFC West international showdown may sound exciting for many players, Kelce appeared less than thrilled discussing the game during the May 14 episode of “New Heights.”
“There’s just something about getting close to the equator, I don’t want to put on a football uniform.
I’ve been in Jacksonville in September, that’s [expletive] miserable,” he explained to his brother, Jason Kelce.
“I’d rather it be dry than humid, I’m a sweaty guy. If it is humid, I am going to be miserable. But we’re going to find a way to get a win.”
Predicting he’ll sweat through his uniform, “I am going to have to ask the equipment guys for a couple of jerseys, maybe three pairs of pants. Maybe four cleats, I might just go through a pair.”
A week later, Kelce apologized if his comments about playing in Brazil were misconstrued. “I’m a furry son of the [expletive].
Me and heat just don’t do well together,” Kelce clarified. “So I apologize if it came off that I’m not excited about this.
I’m still excited. I’m just going to be doing some wardrobe changes throughout the game.
“Shout-out to everybody down in Brazil. Can’t wait to get down there. Sorry if it came off as I’m not excited, because I am.
We got a huge challenge with the Los Angeles Chargers, baby.”
