Images from Swift’s 2019 album are resurfacing as fans compare the lush gardens and florals where she got engaged to Travis Kelce

Fans are noticing some striking similarities between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement photos with the singer’s visuals for her 2019 album Lover.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, the “End Game” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, shared news of their engagement in a joint Instagram post.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption.

In the first photo, Kelce gets down on one knee as the singer rests one hand on his face. The couple also shared a glimpse at the ring Kelce designed with Kindred Lubeck of Arifex Fine Jewelry.

In the photos, the happy couple is surrounded by luscious greenery, towering trees, stones and pink, red and white flowers. Behind them is an arched trellis with colorful floral accents.

In the last slide, the couple cozy up on an outdoor couch, sitting underneath a black chandelier with even more flowers.

While it isn’t clear where the garden is located, many fans drew comparisons to a piece of Swift’s visual discography.

“Taylor’s engagement pics remind me so much of the Lover photoshoot,” TikTok user @juicyy.teaa wrote in an on-screen caption of a video comparing the photos.

In 2019, Swift collaborated with Colombian photographer Valheria Rocha to create promotional imagery for her seventh studio album. The visual aesthetic of Lover was a more colorful departure from Swift’s previous albums Reputation and 1989. The color scheme opted for pastel pinks, blues, and yellows.

As part of the photoshoot, Swift posed in another lush garden. For some of the pictures, the “Shake It Off” singer wears a simple pink crewneck sweatshirt with cargo shorts and shows off her partial blue highlights.

The star sits in the garden surrounded by pink roses and purple lavender flowers.

Elsewhere are stone statues, some resembling a baby cupid with a bow and arrow.

In one of the shots, Swift sits underneath a street lamp with signs indicating the cross section of 16th Avenue and Cornelia Street — referencing a song on the album with the same name.

In another set of images, Swift wore a flowing, light blue long-sleeve dress with an intricate floral pattern.

On social media, fans were quick to post side-by-side comparisons of the photoshoots. X user Katie Kraynak captioned her post, “the lover era prophecy fulfilled,” followed by a white heart emoji.

“Prophecy done and dusted,” someone commented.
