Irsay had been open about his struggle with addiction in the years leading up to his death.
He died at 65 years old in May.
Irsay had gone to rehab multiple times for issues with alcoholism and painkiller addictions.
Despite speaking on multiple occasions of overcoming his addictions, new reports say that Irsay had relapsed in the two years before his death.
A report from the Washington Post alleges that Irsay was prescribed opioids and ketamine in large amounts by an addiction specialist doctor.Irsay suffered multiple overdoses from this.
According to five anonymous Washington Post sources, the doctor allegedly gave Irsay opioid pills.
The report also claims that nurses were seen injecting Irsay with ketamine under the doctor’s direction.

It is an anesthetic that has an increased risk for patients with a history of heart conditions and substance abuse.
