FOOTBALL fans have been left in a mixture of horror and disbelief at new leagues sweeping the nation.
The brutal upstart competitions have been sending shivers down the spine of people on social media.

37U and 40U football leagues have taken the internet by storm

Fans on social media found the leagues both brutal and hilarious
37U and 40U football leagues have gone viral for their sheer brutality.
They feature regular men aged over 37 and 40 respectively.
And clips from the games have spread like wildfire on the internet.
The leagues have somehow been described as incredibly brutal but hilarious at the same time.
One fan posted, “Went to a 37U game live and it was top 5 funniest things I’ve ever witnessed.”While another said, “37U. This has me laughing so hard.”
And a third commented, “Naaaa bruh 37U need to chill and focus on themselves or their family.”
Another fan compared it to the movie The Longest Yard – which features a team of prison inmates against guards.
Some also worried for people with regular day jobs after their punishing games.
“These uncs ready to die for this s**t,” one said.

One video which has had millions of views apparently shows a 60-year-old man playing the game.
He is said to have suffered a torn ACL while doing so.
The leagues have even caught the attention of pro athletes, including NBA legend Carmelo Anthony.
The former New York Knicks star, 41, said on his “7PM in Brooklyn” podcast, “Oh I f*** with this – chasing sports dreams while pushing 40.
“They need the StayMe7o pack to recover. I f*** with it, I ain’t going to lie to y’all.”
His co-host Karlous Miller laughed, “I need to start me a league for the 40 and up, no tackle, because the recovery too long.
“You f*** around and have a game on Sunday, you’re gonna be sore until next Sunday.
“That’s a young man’s sport. I’m f*****g with it, but I know that recovery ain’t no joke.
“Contact football with they work insurance? Talk about love for the game.
“You got a game and you got to work a 12 hour shift the next day?”I’d get out there one, maybe like twice a year.”
