Call it a statement piece.
During an appearance Wednesday on “Up & Adams,” Seattle linebacker Ernest Jones IV proudly unveiled his Super Bowl 2026 parade shirt, which featured a depiction of quarterback Sam Darnold giving a one-finger salute while holding a beer and smoking a cigarette.
“I’ve been saying it all year, that’s my dude,” Jones began. “To come in — he gave me his blessing, he was OK with us wearing the shirts, a couple of us that have them on — it’s my guy, man. Thank you, Sam, for getting us to this Bowl.”

Darnold and Co. have been on cloud nine since Sunday when they demolished the Patriots in the big game, 29-13.
Jones and Seattle’s defense made life miserable for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who was intercepted twice and sacked six times.
Darnold went 19-of-38 for 202 yards and a touchdown to help the franchise capture its second Super Bowl title in his first season with the team.
The quarterback, long considered a bust following failed stops with the Jets and Panthers early in his career, revitalized his legacy in 2024 with a surprise 14-3 campaign with the Vikings.

Ernest Jones joined the Seahawks in 2024, a year before Sam Darnold.
The Seahawks handsomely rewarded Darnold, 28, in free agency with a three-year, $100.5 millon contract.
Jones, who was traded to the Seahawks from the Titans midway through the 2024 season, flaunted his Darnold shirt Wednesday while on the mic, where he delivered a scathing message to detractors.
“If you’ve got anything to say about my quarterback, you got anything to say about my defense, you got anything to say about our O-line and you got anything to say about the city of Seattle, I got two words for you: f–k you,” he said.

Sam Darnold hoisted the Lombardi Trophy at the Seahawks’ Super Bowl 2026 victory parade on Feb. 11, 2026.
It marked the second time Jones put a Darnold critic on blast this week, as the 26-year-old linebacker chided Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua over a comment made after Seattle’s Super Bowl victory.
When Nacua tweeted Darnold’s name beside a crying-laughing face emoji Sunday, Jones fired back, “Ain’t you at home. Goofy ass.”
The Seahawks topped the Rams in the NFC title game, 31-27, to advance to Super Bowl 60.
