Patriots quarterback Drake Maye isn’t the only fan favorite in Foxborough.
After the Patriots selected him third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, fans quickly embraced his wife, Ann Michael Maye, and gave her the nickname of “First Lady of New England.”

Middle school sweethearts
Ann Michael and Maye have been dating since they were 12 years old and then attended UNC together, she previously shared on TikTok.
The couple got married at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, N.C., on June 21, 2025, per The News & Observer.
They announced their engagement that January, sharing Instagram photos of Maye’s proposal to Ann Michael on the beach.
Before that, they celebrated nine years together in October 2024.
Social media sensation
Ann Michael graduated from UNC’s business school with a double minor in entrepreneurship and conflict management in May 2025, according to her LinkedIn page.
Maye previously said that Ann Michael moved to Boston to be with him after college.
She had a rapid rise on social media during the 2025 regular season with her viral baking videos on TikTok, while Maye played lights-out and put himself in the MVP conversation.
Ann Michael had a front-row seat in Denver in January 2026, when Maye and the Patriots punched their tickets to Super Bowl LX with an AFC Championship victory over the Broncos.
That same month, she announced her new show, “Beyond Bakemas,” with NBC Sports Boston — and the first episode featured Barstool Sports founder and die-hard Patriots fan Dave Portnoy.

Passion for Pilates
Ann Michael teaches reformer Pilates at Higher Ground Fitness in Massachusetts.
She also started Super Bowl week in February 2026 with a Pilates class, as seen in a post on her Instagram Story.

She’s super competitive.
Maye called his wife a “great athlete” in a January 2026 press conference before the AFC title game.
“Shoot, she’s a — it could be board games. She started playing mahjong, I haven’t gotten into that… or playing Battleship or cards or anything that goes off me playing her,” the 23-year-old quarterback said.
“We picked up tennis a little bit in the offseason… She’ll try anything we can compete in. She’s a great athlete.”
Hudson was the team captain for her varsity softball, field hockey and cheerleading teams in high school.
She comes from a football family.
Ann Michael’s younger brother, Tad Hudson, was teammates with Maye at UNC, serving as one of his backup quarterbacks during the 2023 season.
Tad left UNC in 2024 to play at Coastal Carolina University.
Her father played football for Wofford College.
