GEORGE Kittle was spotted in a cast on a golf course just days after undergoing surgery on his torn Achilles.

The star tight end suffered the devastating injury during the San Francisco 49ers‘ Wildcard win over the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month.

Following the 49ers’ subsequent playoff exit at the hand of the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, several of their players enjoyed some downtime on the golf course.

The likes of Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Juszczyk and Trent Taylor all tested out their swings.

And while Kittle couldn’t fully join in due to his injury, the 32-year-old still found a way to take part.

Wearing no shirt, the long-haired star rode a buggy with his right leg in a cast.

He did still manage to hit some balls, due to a fancy bit of kit.

Kittle used a “swingless” club manufactured by start-up “Power2Golf”.

The 49ers star posted some clips of himself in action to his Instagram story.

And he even gave his gadget a mention, writing, “Thanks for keeping me in the game from the cart!”

The $1500 gizmo, developed by a rocket scientist, allows people to hit their golf ball with merely the push of a button.

Kittle is optimistic about his injury recovery.

The seven-time Pro Bowler has played down the severity of his issue and hopes to be back in action “well before November”.

Kittle said on Monday, “Surgery went really, really good.

“[Dr. Neal ElAttrache] said best-case scenario when you tear an Achilles is that you tear it up high by your soleus, which is what I did.

“I had a clean tear. They didn’t have to drill into my heel.

“And where the repair was there’s more blood flow.

“And so it takes some time off of the recovery time… It’s not as bad as other ones.”
