American also claimed he won two rounds
EDDIE HEARN has responded to Jake Paul’s claim that he “wobbled” Anthony Joshua – before being knocked out.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul was floored four times before a heavy right hand closed the show in round six.

Jake Paul claimed he ‘wobbled’ Anthony Joshua

Eddie Hearn laughed off the comments
But the American – who suffered his first KO loss – claimed he won two of the rounds and had AJ on wobbly legs.
Promoter Hearn responded, with a smirk, in an interview with Ring Magazine: “Listen, there was probably a round that was quite close because no one did anything, but I don’t know, it’s strange they haven’t released the scorecards.
“Because I’m sure if they had won rounds, MVP would’ve gone ‘Look!’. I don’t believe he won any rounds on the scorecards but maybe he did I don’t know.
“He definitely didn’t wobble AJ but he did land, he landed his biggest shots, there were couple of right hands from the Gods.
“But, he’s just not big enough, he doesn’t punch hard enough. I’m sure he got AJ’s attention but he certainly wasn’t wobbled but he did really well.”
Paul faced criticism for his survival tactics, using every inch of the 22ft ring and throwing himself to the floor.
But Hearn added: “You’ve gotta understand he was so far out of his depth. It was a horrendous mismatch, it was always a horrendous mismatch.
“So you can’t expect him to go in there and stand and trade for three minutes. His job was to try and survive and look how far he got.
“I didn’t expect him to go six rounds.”
Paul made the comments on his brother Logan’s podcast, having had jaw surgery following two fractures.
He said: “I won two rounds, then he won two, then I got dropped. But I was doing good.
“I just think my cardio, just the mental pressure of the big guy and sparring the big people is different than the 10oz gloves.
“So I was feeling his power a lot more. It’s a great experience overall to be in there with someone who’s that good.
“I learned a lot and see where I could have done better. So I’m a little disappointed, but I also know how good he is.
“But I had him wobbled at one point. I had him wobbled, but he kept his hands up better this fight.”
Paul, 28, is expected to be out until at least July while Joshua, 36, is set for a Riyadh return in February or March.
A September showdown against Tyson Fury, 37, is then touted for next September at Wembley.
