The Raiders are closing in on picking Klint Kubiak, 38, as their next head coach.

According to NBC Sports, Kubiak has met with the franchise to discuss a potential partnership.

He has also met with the Arizona Cardinals.

But the Raiders appear to be Kubiak’s favored destination ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

The Brady-owned Raiders are searching for their next head coach after firing Pete Carroll, 74.

Carroll lasted just one season in Sin City.

He has left with just three wins from 17 games in charge of the Raiders.

Now, Kubiak is expected to join following his involvement in Super Bowl LX.

Kubiak is the Seattle Seahawks‘ offensive coordinator.

He arrived in Seattle for the 2025 season after one year with the New Orleans Saints.

The Seahawks’ offensive coordinator has also held roles with the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and San Francisco 49ers.

He will be handed a significant opportunity next season as the Raiders have been handed the number one 2026 NFL Draft pick.

They are expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, 22, first overall.

Mendoza led the Hoosiers to glory at the 2025-26 College Football Playoff as they remained undefeated throughout the season.

Former Colorado State safety Kubiak has been influential during a stellar first season with the Seahawks.

They went 14-3 during the regular season on their way to a first Super Bowl since the 2014 season.

It will be a rematch of their Super Bowl XLIX loss to the New England Patriots.

The Seahawks will face the Patriots in Super Bowl LX at the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, February 8.
