Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert all made the cut instead
Joe Montana sparks uproar with his franchise starting quarterback picks on Pat McAfee – leaving out Mahomes and Hurts

And he stunned the hosts, the viewers and social media with his surprise trio.
The four-time Super Bowl winner opted for Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert, instead of the Philly Eagles ace and the Chiefs’ icon.
Cool Joe said: “I am going to have the guy from Buffalo, Josh.
“Obviously Joe Burrow is another guy I like a lot.
“And – believe it or not – I like the guy with the chargers, even though they have kind of gone by the wayside there.“I just like the way those three guys are.”
When McAfee seemed stunned by the omissions, Montana did his best to backtrack – a little.
“I do also like the guy with Philly though,” he said about Hurts.
And when asked why 29-year-old Mahomes was such a glaring absence, he said: “ I think I would have had him , if he were younger.
“But I should add that they are not getting hit as much these, so he can probably play forever.
“So I should have probably added Patrick in there.
“But I went for youth.”
