THE murder of former NFL star Kevin Johnson might just be the tip of an iceberg with there now fears of a serial killer being on the loose.
Johnson, 55, was found dead in South Los Angeles on January 21 at a homeless encampment in the Willowbrook area.

The former Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders defensive end had fallen on hard times after his seven-year career in the NFL.
In a chilling twist, a homicide investigation into his death was opened a day later by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department.
He had suffered a serious head trauma and stab wounds, per news outlet KESQ.
The situation has now taken an even darker turn as police revealed Johnson’s murder may be connected to three other killings in LA.
All three other victims were also homeless and it has sparked fears that a serial killer is roaming the streets.
A statement from the sheriff’s department read, “All four victims were unhoused individuals who were living in encampments.
“Homicide investigators continue to pursue all investigative leads and remain committed to identifying the individual or individuals responsible for these crimes.”
TMZ have reportedly learned that one of the victims was beaten to death while another was gunned down.
The police are investigating all the murders together due to their eerily similar nature.
All four murders took place between October 2025 and January 2026 in the same area and involved targeting a vulnerable victim.
It has not been confirmed exactly how or why Johnson ended up homeless but friends revealed that he had health issues later in his life.
Those health issues apparently contributed to his financial difficulties that forced him to live in a homeless encampment.
The public tributes have poured in for Johnson after his tragic passing, including from his son Branden and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Johnson was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth-round of the 1993 NFL Draft.
He eventually moved to the Minnesota Vikings, before spending time in Oakland and then ultimately ending up in Philadelphia.
After his NFL career ended, he spent four seasons playing in the Arena Football League for teams in Orlando and Los Angeles.
