The 72-year-old was reported missing after Christmas Day and was found in a remote area of Cumberland County.

A cause of death has yet to be determined, but Iannotti was found shortly after his Jeep was located.

No foul play is suspected.

Police released an update on Wednesday confirming that the coach was found dead.

“It is with a heavy heart that we must advise that Mr. Iannotti has been located, and tragically, he is deceased,” officials with the Logan Township Police Department said in a statement.

“Out of respect for Coach I’s privacy and the privacy of his family, this will be the only update on this unfortunate case, and we will not comment further.

“Thank you for your understanding.”

In the wake of his death, students and teachers at Kingsway Regional High School in Woolwich Township, New Jersey, have posted tributes on social media.

“He was one of my favorite teachers in Kingsway Regional High School and an overall awesome guy to know. I will miss you Mr I. RIP,” one student wrote.

“Steve was a joy to work with,” a teacher posted on Facebook.

“He cared for his students and his fellow teachers. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace friend.”

Iannotti was first reported missing by his family, who hadn’t heard from him since Christmas Day.

A neighbor’s surveillance cameras showed him leaving home on December 26, and he wasn’t seen since.

His vehicle didn’t cross any bridges, and no money was spent on his cards before his body was found.
