Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson secured a wedding ring before chasing his first Super Bowl ring against the Seattle Seahawks in the Big Game, taking place in Santa Clara, Calif. on Sunday.
The 23-year-old running back broke the news during the latest installment of his Christian athlete podcast, “The Walk,” and explained that he and his girlfriend — whose name was kept private — eloped after getting engaged last September.
“The Lord set us free from sexual morality, he kept us pure for a couple years until we got married,” Henderson said with a smile. “Well, I just broke the news.

“Yeah, we got married. We made it official. We got engaged first, and then we eloped and made it official, man.”
Henderson didn’t reveal exactly when they got married.
“I’ve been growing as a husband and learning the beauty of marriage,” he said. “The Lord is still working on my heart. It’s been great so far being married.”
Henderson explained that the pair have been together for three years after he messaged her on TikTok during his sophomore year at Ohio State.
“Eventually she got baptized and we both fully surrounded our lives to Christ and been honoring the Lord in our relationship,” he said. “We’ve been together for almost three years now. I met her my sophomore year [at Ohio State] at the time of my injury.
“I remember searching so hard for a girlfriend then because at the time I was trying to turn my life around. I really wanted to be committed to one girl … I remember saying a prayer.”

Henderson announced their engagement in an Instagram post on Sept. 9, 2025.

,” he wrote, including a photo with his then-fiancée flashing her diamond engagement ring.
He proposed on a bed of red rose petals in front of white LED letters that spelled “MARRY ME.”
Henderson’s wife will likely attend Super Bowl 2026 at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.
The Patriots selected Henderson in the second round (38th overall pick) of last year’s draft.
