Taylor Swift is the biggest thing in the news right now, as the singer has announced that her new album, which marks her 12th, will be named “Life of a Showgirl.”

Swift will reveal even more details about the album when she appears on Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which will be released at 7 p.m. EST on Aug. 13.

But, Swift isn’t the only one doing press right now. Kelce is also in the news and gracing the cover of GQ magazine.

He’s the September 2025 cover for the publication, and in it, he gives an in-depth interview that goes deeper than a lot of the Kelce interviews.

When Kelce does interviews, it’s usually about football, but this time, he talks about his personal life.

Of course, one of the biggest topics of the interview is his romance with Swift. The two have been together since 2023 and are still the sweethearts of the NFL.

During the interview, Kelce revealed one major way that he’s changed Swift since the two became a couple and also talked about why their relationship works.

In the interview, Kelce opens about how being a Swift fan. He says he’s simply a fan of great music and art, and her material certainly qualifies.

“I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan,” he explains in the interview, which was published on Tuesday, August 12.

“Because I am a fan. I’m a fan of music. I’m a fan of art. And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field…. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.”

So, how has Kelce changed Swift? It’s simple: He’s made her a football fan. She’s learned a lot about the sport in the past few years, and it’s something she wouldn’t have known otherwise.

“I sort of made her a football fan,” Kelce states. “She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like.

She understands what special situations are, third and short—all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.”

Even though Kelce and Swift come from different worlds, they have a lot more in common than one might thing. In the interview, Kelce opens up about something that makes their relationship work.

“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” he says.

“That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete.”

He adds in the chat, “She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”

It’s so nice to see this mutual respect in Kelce and Swift’s relationship. Hopefully this is one celebrity relationship that will last.
