Cam Heyward addressed the Steelers’ divine intervention

PITTSBURGH Steelers fans joked that their team’s season was saved by a higher power after a priest blessed Acrisure Stadium’s field ahead of their game over the weekend.
Mike Tomlin‘s squad edged past the Baltimore Ravens 26-24 to clinch the AFC North title.

The divine intervention was captured on camera
With the clock ticking down, kicker Tyler Loop missed a field goal attempt that would have snatched the game and AFC North title away from the Steelers.
Amazingly, that end of the field had been blessed by a priest just hours earlier.
A clip of the blessing was posted to X by journalist Jenna Harner.
Responding to the holy moment, Pittsburgh captain Cam Heyward shared a laugh with reporters.
“I’m not gonna ask questions,” the 36-year-old joked after the game.
“The good Lord made a good decision tonight. I’m thankful, and we keep moving on.”
NFL fans shared their love for Harner’s video on social media.
“I think they’ll be asking him to bless the field every game now,” one wrote on X.
“Trying to get all the help they can,” a second joked.
“God is a Steelers fan? He has a funny way of showing it…” a third posted.
“It worked!” another added.
Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be back in the postseason for the first time since 2021.
The 42-year-old played a key role in the Steelers’ win against the Ravens, and will look to do so again as his team takes on the Houston Texans in the wild-card round.
After Pittsburgh’s win, Tomlin gushed over Rodgers’ influence.
“This was the vision in the spring when we pursued him,” the Steelers head coach said, via ESPN.
“That’s why you do business with a 42-year-old guy, been-there, done-that guy with a resume like his.
“He’s not only capable; he thrives in it. I think he put that on display tonight.”
