Roger Goodell has previously praised Swift’s positive impact on NFL

TAYLOR Swift has been offered a special invitation by the NFL after her and Travis Kelce’s engagement.

Speaking on TODAY, commissioner Roger Goodell discussed Swift’s presence in the NFL.

And when questions arose as to whether she would perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, he said that they would love to have her.

Goodell said, “We would always love to have Taylor play.

“She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”

“Is it in the works?” anchor, Savannah Guthrie asked.

“I can’t tell you anything about it,” Goodell replied.

“Is it a maybe?” followed up Savannah.

“It’s a maybe,” he said.

Craig Melven, another host of the show, then asked when the halftime performance may be announced.

Goodell joked, “I’m waiting on my friend Jay-Z.

Kelce and Swift have been going out for around two years now.

The singer-songwriter first appeared at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023.

There, she was spotted sitting in a box with Kelce’s mother, Donna, and even celebrating with her when the tight end scored.

Since then, Swift and Kelce’s relationship has continued to grow, and they have supported each other’s booming careers.

Swift has been at both the last two Super Bowls to support the 35-year-old, as well as many other Chiefs matches.

More recently, the artist appeared on New Heights, the podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, to announce her new album.
In the past, Goodell has spoken about how positive her presence is for the league in bringing in a younger, female audience.Before the 2024 Super Bowl, he said, “Obviously, it creates a buzz.”
