The average team is worth about $7.1 billion

THE world’s biggest YouTuber sent the internet into an uproar after claiming he’d bought the NFL.

MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, said in a video uploaded to X that he had bought the entire league, and planned on adding a fellow YouTuber to each team.

“Today marks a historic first,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in the realistic-looking press conference uploaded to Donaldson’s social media.

“The NFL is now under the ownership of one individual: Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast.”

Donaldson then takes over the podium, and announces his first change to the league.

“I think it’s time for some changes,” he says in the video.
“We are going to be changing the rosters from 53 players to 54, and giving that new roster spot to a YouTuber.”Goodell then tries to stop Donaldson, saying that he can’t do that, to which he replies: “Well, I already did.”

Famous YouTubers from across the platform are then shown preparing for their first game: IShowSpeed in a Miami Dolphins jersey, Haylee Baylee who asks to be on the Minnesota Vikings, and Brooke Monk who declares the Denver Broncos YouTuber spot.

Donaldson has made the seemingly impossible happen before with loads of cash, from building 100 houses and giving them away to providing 2 million people clean water for the first time.

So when he announced that he had bought the NFL, it didn’t seem too far-fetched.

But at the video’s end, it all appears to be all in jest to promote YouTube offering Friday’s game to watchers for free.

“For the first time ever, Chargers vs. Chiefs will be live for free on YouTube,” he said.

“Make sure you watch it. It’s literally free, why not?”Donaldson has the biggest YouTube account to ever grace the platform with 431 million subscribers.

He’s known for having everyday people compete in outlandish competitions to win hundreds of thousands, and even millions in cash, alongside huge prizes.

He also donates millions to charity through his videos.

Some of his videos include: Ages 1-100 Fight for $500,000, 100 People Fight For A Private Island, and I Gave People $1,000,000 But ONLY 1 Minute To Spend It.

But the NFL may even be out of MrBeast’s price range.

The average team on the league is worth $7.1 billion, according to Forbes.

“MrBeast is answering, in real time, the question we’ve all asked ourselves at least once before,” one commenter wrote.
“‘[W]hat would I do with unlimited money.’””Waiting for ‘I bought the world and now everyone gets free cash,’” another said.
