Ed Kelce announced the death of partner Maureen Maguire last week

TRAVIS KELCE and Taylor Swift were absent from his dad’s long-term girlfriend’s funeral.

Maureen Maguire was laid to rest on Thursday in a small family service in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.

Maureen sadly passed away earlier this month at the age of 74.

The cause of death is not known.

Dad Ed and Maureen were both regular viewers of the Kelce brothers when they would play in NFL games.

The majority of the family attended the service at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church, but there was a noticeable absence of Kelce and Taylor.

This included Kelce’s brother Jason and his wife Kylie.

The Daily Mail have claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs star instead chose to stay in the team’s training camp.

A video was later shared on the team’s social media channels of Kelce, 35, greeting the iconic Terrell Owens at the practice session.

Kelce is currently prepping for his 13th campaign in the NFL and is aiming for Super Bowl glory.

The Chiefs were denied a famous three-peat last season as they were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Kelce has previously admitted that training camps help him shut off from the outside world.

He said: “I love it here.

“It gets me away from everything else that’s going on in this crazy world.

“You can really just focus in on your craft and focus in on being the best you can for the guys around you, man.

“Football has always been the biggest driving force I’ve ever had.

“I love coming out here and focusing on this and getting better for another run at hopefully a Super Bowl.”

Kelce is aiming high for the 2025 NFL season with many claiming he is in “phenomenal shape”,

The Chiefs start their 2025 NFL season with a trip to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.

This is then followed by hosting last term’s Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles.

But first they must finish their preseason, which featured games against the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Their only preseason game so far ended in a 20-17 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals.
